Conflict Mediation 

The Office of Equal Opportunity offers mediation as a safe and confidential alternative to traditional investigative and legal processes. Mediation is an informal process in which a third party facilitates a resolution by helping two parties explore and reconcile their differences. The mediator does not issue findings or a decision about who is right and who is wrong.


The University will cover the cost of mediation if a representative of the Provost's Office approves, even if the mediation is unsuccessful. In practice, most mediations take less than a day. Contact us with your concerns and we can walk you through your options, including the mediation process.
